Greetings!

The event calendar now uses the rewritten net.nemein.calendar from
MidCOM 2.4 CVS branch:

http://www.midgard-project.org/community/events/

There are three clear advantages to using this in favor of the old
de.linkm.events tool:

1) Repeating events support (different rules, weekly, daily, monthly
etc)

2) Storage of the events is MidgardEvent instead of MidgardArticle,
meaning that the DB
queries are more optimal, storage more semantic, and the
structure supports things like
      event participants

3) Output is by default hCalendar microformat: http://
www.microformats.org/wiki/hcalendar

The last of these means that you can subscribe the HTML version of
the Midgard calendar
in webcal format. Try the following URL in your iCal, Sunbird or
Evolution:
http://suda.co.uk/projects/X2V/get-vcal.php?uri=http:%2F%
2Fwww.midgard-project.org%2Fcommunity%2Fevents%2F
