That was exactly the way I've done before. But with ming 0.2a you are
not able to stream mp3 and some functions else. I think you can only
download ming 0.3a from cvs.

For compiling the cvs-version you have to skip the configure and you
have to begin with make. Possible you have the same problems with 0.3a.
Please let me know If you are also trying to upgrade to ming-0.3a and 
how expearances you will do in future time.
