Re: max $strAction length?

afaik 64k is the maximum ActionScript per frame that
flash can handle so maybe you need to split loading
your AS over several frames. If that does not help try
upgrading to the latest CVS version. 
Also you probably don't need the str_replace part
anymore. it was a workaround for a bug in the compiler
that has now been fixed. try this instead:
$movie->add(new SWFAction($strAction));
