It was all-business so this will be a no-nonsense post. :)

Top items to work on in mod_pubsub going forward:
  1. Safari browser support
  2. Multi-window Mozilla browser support
  3. Building a presence browser library that works with js_pubsub
  4. Offering a complete "better chatroom" that uses the new presence library with Scott's chatlet application
  5. Fixing the event model in pubsub.py so it supports true presence
  6. Using ZODB for persistence (as Joyce says, "with it, the frequency of restarts will be less harmful")
  7. Interesting apps!!! (Though nailing chat-with-presence seems paramount. We have a lot of the pieces, we just need to drive it to completion.)

Top items to work on in mod-pubsub.org going forward:
  1. Get our bios up there
  2. Get "about mod_pubsub" text fleshed out
  3. Add to blog page panel for # of live connections < http://www.mod-pubsub.org/kn_apps/statwatch/ >
  4. Add link to semi-permeable blogs paper from "site features" panel < http://www.mod-pubsub.org/kn_docs/semipermeable.html >
  5. Tee shirts ( thinking about Customink.com or Artapart.com )
  6. Joyce unbuttoned our top-level index.html < http://www.mod-pubsub.org/ > but we still have JavaScript popups for comments (which Mozilla Firebird hates)

Areas for investigation:
  1. mod_pubsub-enabled browser-based RSS reader
  2. Supporting a "random RSS feed" -- like we have the blogchatter feed
  3. What modifications to blogchatter make sense?
  4. Look into building a "Salesforce Lite" or some other good use of Sforce tools
  5. Do something with Amazon
  6. The "T Man" special
  7. Shared "to do" lists
  8. FORM field completion and error detecting demo
  9. Web-page-that-turns-into-Scott's-chatlet at the click of a webmaster's button
 10. "Webmaster dashboard"
 11. Dr. Dobbs -- stock example
 12. ApacheCon 2003

TTFN,
  Adam
