That makes sense, the ServerSaver is a CPU-intensive little routine. It doesn't need to be run at such a high interval in most cases. Now if we can just fix it so that Mozilla doesn't spike CPU usage to 100%, we'll really be somewhere. And if we can get memory usage of the server down even more than the past patches, well that would be fabulous. :) Adam P.S. -- Kragen, if you do check in your patch, please do let us know via the mailing list... :) -----Original Message----- From: Joyce Park [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, September 15, 2003 3:08 PM To: Adam Rifkin; [email protected] Subject: RE: [Mod-pubsub-developer] integrating mod-pubsub into our application I didn't check in the whole patch -- that Kragen's copyright, and his to decide what to do with. I just bumped up the reaper interval to 10 seconds, because I tried it on mod-pubsub.org and it had an unbelievably huge effect. Our CPU had rarely gone below 50% before at 1 second, but at 10 seconds it seems to be only up to 0.5%. Ouchie.
