Hi Rohit, did anyone ever answer this question?  If not, I believe the answer
is no - there isn't a way for the server to only send each message to you
exactly once.  Its idea of whether it has delivered an event successfully is
not the same as your idea of whether you received an event successfully -- and
that goes double for the JavaScript client, which can have multiple
windows/tabs open.  Hope that answers your question, JP
