Hey all, My first stab at doing realtime web stats and stuff: http://www.mod-pubsub.org/scottandrew/webstats/ MSIE5+ or Mozilla only, please. Uses IFRAMEs and DOM stuff. Developed on Win32 so I don't know how browsers on *nix or OSX fare yet. The concept is really simple but it's /fascinating/ to watch. Most visitors don't go beyond the index page but every once in awhile I'll catch someone surfing thru several pages (they light up green). The best part IMO is watching the spiders; they don't support cookies, so they don't get tagged with a unique ID when they pull a page, and leave a trail of icons. It's kind of ominous when that red robot appears; 90% of the time it's a bot like Slurp or a mail scraper. I can't wait to catch the Googlebot in the act. ;) Not perfect yet. Comments and suggestions welcome. -- Scott Andrew LePera Scott Andrew and the Walkingbirds Lo-fi DIY acoustic pop and weirdo country thing [email protected] http://www.scottandrew.com ------------------------------------------------------- Enterprise Linux Forum Conference & Expo, June 4-6, 2003, Santa Clara The only event dedicated to issues related to Linux enterprise solutions www.enterpriselinuxforum.com
