Fellow pubsubbers, Joyce told me today that someone asked in the chatroom why we haven't hooked up BlogChatter to the "cloud" at the blo.gs site. I'm happy to announce that, after a little wrangling, we are now accepting incoming weblog notifications from blo.gs in addition to those that ping us directly! http://www.mod-pubsub.org/kn_apps/blogchatter Watch that puppy go! We had to fix an error in the way we were handling incoming XML-RPC requests, but once that was handled it just worked. This is a real win for us, because now any of the 382,357 weblogs that ping blo.gs will also ping BlogChatter by default, and makes BlogChatter much more compelling to watch. Needless to say, it's going to be very interesting to watch the server's performance numbers... To keep this running, we have to re-register with blo.gs once every 24 hours or so. We'll eventually write an automated script to handle this. Thanks to Joyce for the debugging help, and to Jim Winstead at blo.gs for providing the way-cool cloud interface in the first place. scottandrew ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
