[Mtamazon] Amazon returning "there are no exact matches for the search" -- but there *should* be

Folks, any help appreciated on this brain-teaser:

My code within my MT index template is thus:

It outputs exactly... nothing. In debug mode, I can see that the cache =
is
sought out and apparently written to just fine:

The problem is, the cache file is all of 129 bytes and has a snippet of =
XML
that says "there are no exact matches for this search."

To me, that says my associateID, devtoken or listmania ID are wrong -- =
but
I've checked them over and over. Any thoughts? I created the listmania =
list
from within my normal (i.e., amazon customer) account, but the e-mail =
for
that account is identical to the one for my associateID. Any reason =
Amazon
might be thinking I shouldn't lift out the data? Any sort of time delay =
on
their XML services? (I just created the list a couple hours ago.)
