Frankly, between the pricing for Movable Type 3, the fact that I don't 
want my readers to have to register just so they can post a comment, the 
fact that most plugins are untested on MT3 and the fact that I really 
have no *need* to upgrade, I'm holding off on upgrading.

This whole uproar over MT3 has really been a godsend for the makers of 
other blogging tools like WordPress and Textpattern. The developers 
(both packages are open source) must be jumping for joy. I'd be willing 
to bet a whole lot more development (both core and plugin) gets poured 
into them, too.
