Hello all,

I have been out of the Struts scene for some time to
go and finish school. Now that I'm back and done with
school, I see a lot of recent developments.
Escpecially what struck me is this new Struts-based
portal project called Liferay. I was using BasicPortal
for a while before going back to school. It looked
really nice, but it was in the early stages then. I
don't know if it evolved a lot since then. This
Liferay portal seems quite mature for an open-source
portal project. I'm wondering what you guys would
think about merging efforts of BasicPortal and
Liferay. This one goes escpecially to Vic. If we can
merge efforts, it may be possible to build a portal
server almost as good as commercial ones like
Epicentric, WebSphere, WebLogic, etc.

The website for liferay is http://www.liferay.com
Live demo is here: http://my.liferay.com

What do you think?

Thanks,
Mete
