It will work in at least one non-WebKit browser: iCab. But not
Firefox and other Gecko-based browsers, nor in Opera or the outdated
Internet Explorer for Mac (Tasman engine).
I view the drop shadow as a simple enhancement that when missing does
not otherwise detract from proper presentation.
