One thing I don't like about conventional horizontal tabs is that you have Escher's staircase in there. You have one foreground tab and other background tabs (meaning tabs are three-dimensional objects) inside a flat, two-dimensional browser UI. It's self-contradictory. Safari's tab design is the ugliest one in this respect - the foreground tab unified with the Bookmark bar gets suddenly separated from it once the tab is background. How ridiculous! With OmniWeb's tab style, you have no Escher's staircase. You have one highlighted tab and other not-highlighted tab inline. It acts just like Finder's preview function. Very simple and intuitive, don't you think? Yosuke Arai
