Hi, if you resize the tab drawer to the size you always want it to be (and put it on the side you want - change the default in Preferences>Tabs and Windows) and then select "Save Window Size" from the "Window" menu, the (window and) drawer will always appear at that size from then on. No need to do it every launch. Additionally, if you hover your pointer over a tab, the full name and link will appear in a bezel display next to that tab. Once the display is visible, scrubbing your pointer over the other tabs will display the full names and links in a bezel instantly. The reason why OmniGroup don't add your (and others') request for a horizontal tab bar to OmniWeb at the moment is probably because it isn't a trivial bit of coding to do. Also, they would need to test how to implement it - do they do it in addition to the vertical tabs, or by exclusion (i.e. if you show one, do you show the other or hide it?). Also, there is a lot of functionality available in the vertical thumbs that simply isn't available in horizontal tabs, such as copying/cutting and pasting from one window to another or to other apps. You can also scroll through the tabs should they go off screen with ease using a mouse wheel whereas horizontal tabs are impossible to view without clicking something when they go off edge. Should all the additional functionality still be retained in the horizontal tabs (and if it isn't, then that is bad UI design because it is an inconsistency, if it is, then it means having to code their own UI/ API in place of simply using Apples own as tabs in OS X can't be manipulated in this way...afaik, anyway)? Perhaps, they'll add it to OmniWeb 6.0, but for now, the costs (in time required) of doing it more than likely don't provide them with any advantages. Personally, I think that once you start getting used to using the vertical tabs and the other features they provide, you will find horizontal ones extremely limiting in comparison.
