Thanks to everybody for responding, I have fixed it now.

I had to uninstall OW (latest beta) in leopard because all of a sudden  
this morning
OW wouldn't start. IAW , it came up on the screen but  almost  
immediately the beach ball came
up and that was it. Did all the things what you're suppose to do but  
no luck.
Reinstalling didn't help either so I decided to uninstall including  
all files.
Emptied the Trash as well.
Reinstalled OW using Time machine with no problems but my pref etc  
were gone. On advise I looked for
those files to reinstall but couldn't find them. Hence my question.
