The only surprise I got was when I used the automatic update 
mechanism (for the second time ever) and the bz2 file landed in my 
Downloads folder. I'd set my Desktop as the destination for all 
downloads and was at first wondering why the download was not 
retained before discovering where it actually ended up.

This did not happen when I did the automatic update for one of the 
sneaky peeks - the dmg archive was right there on my Desktop.
