iPad Handwriting Recognition

I've heard three different theories on the lack of handwriting.  One was that the capacitive touch screens do not have fine enough resolution to accurately capture handwriting.

The second theory I heard was that Apple planned to introduce it in a later model.  Get people interested now, but hold back some features so you can encourage people to upgrade.  Just smart marketing.  Call it the early-adopter tax.

The third theory I heard was that they won't include it because it's a tiny niche market and not the current plan for the device.  Some third party might add it, however.

And I still use Omniweb on my Macs.  Still love the graphical tabbed browsing on the left.  It is a bit slow though compared to current versions of Safari and Firefox.  If it were equally fast. I'd use it all the time.  Oh, there also a few sites that don't work well with OW either.
