It works fine in Opera 9.6 on Vista SP1 X64.

Probably some settings problem on you end. Check the Content Blocker, if  
still trouble make a backup of your profile folder, then delete the  
original one this will reset your settings. If it fails you can still  
restore the backup, or if works you can partialy restore your settings.

Also at the first try, it is possible that renameing the opera6.ini file  
in you profile folder is enough to reset the conflicting settings.

You can find the profile directory files list in the Help / About
