I wrote: >There must be *something* different about this page compared with >others on the same site... I've now discovered what it is: the review of the SX200 includes animated - well, video, really - shots of menus in action. One example is the window beneath the two lines of text starting 'While I'll cover the SX200's macro abilities later in the review,'. I'm now using my laptop, which runs Vista Home Premium with all updates etc. On this machine, the page in question opened fine, but instead of crashing Opera as it does on my desktop, it simply showed me blank windows with the legend 'Plug-in content'. Mousing over this brought up an Opera message saying I needed a plug-in, but clicking on it as advised by the same message failed to do any good as 'the search failed to find any matches', or words to that effect. I have a memory like a sieve, so I can't remember (it was only a few mi\nutes ago...) whether I went to the QuickTime site off my own bat or whether a message came up telling me to download QT. Anyway, that is what I did and I now have QT 7.6.etc whereas before I had 7.4.etc, downloaded over a year ago. So now it works! I can hardly wait to try this out on my desktop, but wait is precisely what I am going to have to do because I am away from home for the next ten days or so and I don't want anyone else doing it for me so that I can't see exactly what happens! I'm glad I was right about there being some difference between the two pages! :-) Cheers all, Harry -- Unsubscribe: mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
