I was a little confused what you meant when you said "sent folder" hence my mentioning of "within Opera." I'm referring to the area that it seems you are checking anyway, as clarified in later messages. Under All Messages, click on Sent, then click on the "View" button (by default this should appear on the very right of the bar that contains the buttons Compose, Reply, Reply All... and so on). This will open up some drop-down menus. Hover over "Period" and some times should show up. The time that is selected will have a small diamond-like shape to the left of it. Make sure that the selected time is "Forever."
