I had the same problem until recently with Opera 9.x and FarmVille, but it works fine for me with Opera 10. I've expected it to work with IE but always was too lazy to try it. I don't know if it actually was a change in Opera or if something in Facebook / FarmVille has changed - but it seems to work now.
