I've had this problem a couple of times. The first time I don't think I figured out what was wrong and I think the problem went away after I re-installed Windows or Opera or both. The second time it turned out to be Windows automatically adjusting the system clock for the end of daylight saving time a week early. Unchecking "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes" and setting the clock to the correct time solved the problem.
