The "tone" of the users has nothing to do with the server doing a poor job of actually sending out the messages in a timely fashion. Yahoo's server goes through periods where it just doesn't bother sending out messages in a timely, consistent manner. It irregularly misses sending some messages to some list members. Usually it eventually sends them, but sometimes days afterward.
