Oh, I understand; it's just that (and maybe this is an issue with my installed set of libs) that it's trying to talk to (and I believe, spinning while doing so) a non-existant resolver. I have a caching DNS on 127.0.0.1 ; I'd love to plug that in all the time, but some of the places I connect do (WiFi HotSpots, especially) don't pass general domain queries, expecting you to use their DNS servers (as a part of their access control, I'd imagine). -Kenny -- Kenneth R.
