Hi guys. I was reporting this bug many times. But still probably Opera developers are ignoring this. Opera is running tight loop with millions of gettimeofday calls. http://smp.if.uj.edu.pl/~baryluk/opera10_few_seconds_of_strace.txt.gz This is present sine 9.6x series, and is present in all snapshots, including Beta3 and 4546. I'm using Debian Unstable, with custom 2.6.31-rc6 (but also happens on 2.6.2x), on x86 (Pentium M). I'm using GNOME. This is so annoying, that in last 2 months i'm mostly using Firefox. Opera is completely unusable now, even closing opera takes minutes. Most times i need to kill it. I can browse even few seconds without triggering this issue. Other people also complain about it: http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/show.dml/1349853?startidx=200#comment3684570 http://groups.google.com/group/opera.linux/browse_thread/thread/255e0a8402ee6260 http://groups.google.com/group/opera.beta/browse_thread/thread/07e13734c837ae92 http://list.opera.com/pipermail/opera-linux/2001-February/000150.html Maybe this is ssl problem, maybe cache issue, maybe something. Please provide any hint how to provide you reproducible test (maybe provide version of opera with debug symbols?). Thanks in advance!
