Opera with Google Mail web interface's "move to" and "labels" dropdown -- very slow

Hi, list,

I use Google Mail's web interface. The "move to" and "labels" buttons take
2-6 seconds to open under Opera. This is on Linux and Mac, and maybe
Windows. Under Firefox/Iceweasel on Linux and Safari on Mac both buttons
open very quickly.

If I press the button multiple times w/out making a selection, it comes up
much faster after the first attempt. Perhaps some caching is occurring.

I tried it (on Linux) with a fresh --personaldir and got the same behavior.

Does anyone else have this problem, and/or can anyone offer any suggestions
(configuration changes, etc) on how to make it go away?

Would it depend on: QT libraries, cookies, number of bookmarks, number of
remembered addresses, cache size / cache settings, network speed, content
settings, Javascript settings, Java, other plugins?

Any help appreciated.
