I tried 10.0 with -debugfont and get:
X RENDER extension supported (required by Xft 1): Yes
libXrender load status: Success
Trying to load Xft library from Opera executable.
Trying to load Xft 2...
Success
opera: Failed to load any font
opera: Module initialization failure [6]. No memory to complete operation (-2)
