Hi! I admit I never used the function you mention, but it's because there are way cooler alternatives. When you have a url in your clipboard, you have 2 options: 1: Middle mouse click into a free space in the open tab (say, not in a textfield and not on a link) will immediately go to the URL from the clipboard. 2: Middle mouse click on the free space in your tab bar, this will immediately open a new tab and go to the URL from the clipboard.
