Hi,

First of all, I've looked at Ruari's blog post
http://my.opera.com/ruario/blog/flash-problems-on-linux :)

I'm packaging Opera for my Linux distro, Pardus GNU/Linux. You can see the
packaging source codes in
https://svn.pardus.org.tr/contrib/2009/devel/network/web/opera/

As you can see in
https://svn.pardus.org.tr/contrib/2009/devel/network/web/opera/actions.pyI'm
sed'ing install file and call ./install --unattendent .. We have also
a
symlink hack
So that :
opera # LC_ALL=C ls -la /usr/lib/opera/plugins/libflashplayer.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 39 Dec 9 10:32
/usr/lib/opera/plugins/libflashplayer.so ->
/opt/netscape/plugins/libflashplayer.so

However, Opera do not play flash videos, say youtube videos, it just loads
the flashplugin but a circle indicator that means "video is loading" is seen
in the flash video box, but the video does not load.

Instead of symlinking, if I copy /opt/netscape/plugins/libflashplayer.so
under /usr/lib/opera/plugins , all is well, I can play videos without any
problem.

So my question is, why does not symlinking work in this case? And any
solution recommendations for the package?

btw, I also patch pluginpath.ini as follows
https://svn.pardus.org.tr/contrib/2009/devel/network/web/opera/files/add_nsbrowserplugins.patch,
but whether I apply this patch or not, it does not change anything
related
to the flashplugin, flash does not work with the symlink in either cases.

No flash related logs appear in ~/.xsession-errors.

Sorry if this problem is asked before, I've tried to search the archives but
the search in archive is broken.

Regards.
