So, what determines if the Qt4 (KDE) toolkit is installed, so Opera does
not fall back to the X11 file-selector if you use "3" as the file-save
dialog? Is it looking for a particular library?

The Gnome file-save dialog widget(?) is far, far too leaky to use daily.
