Hello list readers:

This letter is mainly meant for opera developers if they read it.

I've been using opera web browser for long, but
when it comes/came to printing a page I have/had to do it in other browser,
since options for printing from opera are very limited.

It lacks a proper page setup. Headers, footers can not
insert text in the center, the printer's options for
resolution, single/double page printing can not be used,
just to mention a few.
It is not clear for me how 'fit to paper width' and 'scale print to' options
are related.
The print preview option should reflect how the page would look
on paper. Right now if I turn print preview on, the page is shown
in landscape arrangement, but my printer is set to portrait printing.
It's not clear either which printer's settings are reflected when print
preview is turned on.

I have opensuse 11.2 with KDE 3.5 and CUPS print manager, also
KDE's kdeprinter print manager. I tested the opera 11.11 for linux.

The main point: can any improvement be expected in this area in the
forthcoming opera releases?

Thanks,

Istvan
