Hi Larry,

I use Ubuntu 11.04.

There are a few options.

1. You could download the .deb package from opera.com and use
dpkg, gedbi (not sure of KDE equivalent) or software centre to
install it. I subscribe to the opera developer blog to be informed
of latest releases.

2. Install the ppa to your software list. See
http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppas/15 for instructions on how to do
this.
