Thanks, but it is not the same thing.
First, I am talking about saving files (opening is a different issue).
GTK file selector is very awkward in all regards, selecting directories, file
names, listing dirs/files, and, what is included in the left side window.
I can paste only a complete path including the file name itself in the name 
bar. It is not possible to paste there a directory path and open it, then
select a file in that directory by clicking the file name. However this was
possible in previous opera versions (pre 10.5).
It is good that  GTK or KDE file chooser can be chosen, but the native
file selector should support previously supported functions as well. As I don't 
have KDE4 and the GTK chooser is not very usable (awkward and slow) I 
have to use the native selector and I miss the possibility of pasting directory
paths.

By the way, previously I asked for html as default extension when saving html pages and the devs has made the change in opera 11.50. Thanks!
