Is there any way to disable the "connected display" sensing in later builds

IIRC, there's some code in the Opera-Next periodic betas now (I'm currently on 12.1065) that can detect when displays are added and connected. Well, on my notebook (NVidia 8600M GPU with their proprietary binary drivers) when I attach/detach displays, Opera ends up making the Xorg process drive 95+% of the CPU. Can I disable this detection? Only thing I can do when Opera gets hosed like that is -9 it. -Kenny -- Kenneth R.
