I have about 8 thousand bookmarks in Firefox and would like to import
them into a new folder named 'Firefox bookmarks'.

I'm using Kubuntu 10.04 LTS (Linux).

Will Opera be able to handle this many bookmarks?

I looked at File > Import and Export > Import Firefox Bookmarks
but this just opens a big file list, but I can't find a folder location
for bookmarks.

Can someone please tell me how to import the Firefox bookmarks into the
Bookmarks > Firefox bookmarks folder?

I used to use Opera for many years and like it very much.
Now that I'm back using Opera I want to make it my default browser
because Firefox frequently locks up my machine making it impossible to
select anything at all. The only way out is to use the key sequence
"alt sysreq (R S E I U B) otherwise known as "Raising Skinny Elephants
Is Utterly Boring" which works like a charm but reboots the machine.
Opera doesn't lock up!

Aside from this problem I liked Firefox but I gotten tired of the lockups.
