ctrl-a with keyboard opera standard for unix, in address bar

I've always wanted that browsers furnish bindings for the address bar
similar to the ones of the shell (ctrl-a, ctrl-e, ctrl-u, ctrl-k, ...).
And I've just discovered that choosing keyboard opera standard for unix
allows that (without changing the corresponding bindings one by one).
This is nice.

However I have a question about ctrl-a in this case. There's a problem
since ctrl-a could mean beginning of line (shell) or select all
(classical action in browsers). Opera seems to provide both since
pressing ctrl-a once goes to the beginning of the line and a second
ctrl-a selects the whole line (nice too). My problem is that pressing
ctrl-l and then ctrl-a does not go the beginning of the line (I need
a second ctrl-a for that). Is it normal? Or possible to avoid the first
ctrl-a? After all, after ctrl-l, it's not useful that ctrl-a selects the
line since it's already selected.
