GPU driver blocklist things regarding NVIDIA

Hi all!

I'm running the nouveau driver on my laptop with Quadro NVS 3100M.

Testing the opera-next-12.00-1359.x86_64 release, hardware acceleration
seems to slow down at least scrolling, seen well on long pages like [1].
Does this indicate the card/driver should be added to the blocklist? If
so, the details are:
GL_VENDOR: nouveau
GL_RENDERER: Gallium 0.4 on NVA8
GL_VERSION: 2.1 Mesa 8.0.2

'NVA8' is the identification used by nouveau for the NVIDIA GT218 GPU,
which is used on the following low-end cards:
GeForce 8400 GS (rare variants)
ION 2, GeForce 205, 210, G 210M, 305M, 310(M), 405
Quadro FX (380 LP, 380M), NVS (300, 2100M, 3100M)

Also, I noticed that in a few places in the blocklist you seem to match
GL_RENDERER against "Quadro NVS" and "Quadro FX", which seems rather
strange to me, since these don't seem to identify specific models well
enough, but instead match whole product families which contain GPUs from
varying generations (from e.g. old GeForce 4 level cards (NVS 100) to
Geforce 220/315 level cards (NVS 5100M) and up to GeForce 240/320 cards
(FX 1800M)) - and the corresponding GeForce cards that have the same
GPUs aren't blocked.

Also, one of the "reason2d"s is quite interesting:
"Nvidia Quadro have very poor performance"
That is like saying "NVIDIA GeForce have very poor performance", which
seems a tad too general to me :)


I also see that all versions of nouveau are blocked from 3d due to
"crash when compiling some fragment shaders". Is there any additional
information about that available (testcase or an upstream bugreport)?
