That's encouraging.  I usually avoid betas but I'll give 12 beta a try.

One thing I note reading

is they list a change
	Fixed a bug that would cause applications which export custom
	allocation functions to our driver (such as Adobe Flash in
	Firefox or Chrome) to crash.

Makes me wonder if they didn't test with 64-bit Opera and their fix made 
things worse?  With Flash 11.2 r202 I've seen other bizarre behavior, 
like treating #FFFFFF as a transparent mask, so the Flash content 
"shines through" other applications' windows over top of it...  which I 
think supports the case that Flash is talking direct to the X server 
without coordinating with Opera.
