Hi, Opera continuously kills my processor. With something about 40 tabs (static content, mostly text, few images, plugins set "click to view", some animated gifs might appear of few pages but it shouldn't matter), freshly after restarting it (so absolutely no flash is active), Opera consumes 50% of processor! It's an old Pentium DualCore [email protected], but it definitely shouldn't be killed with 40 static pages! It's not about memory - opera uses about 0,5GB RAM and I have even turned swapfile off to be sure. Then I started closing tabs one by one, still with no effect - and finally, I found the one that was guilty: http://allegro.pl/search_form.php After closing it, processor usage drops from >50 to 16%. This site is an auction portal in Poland (local eBay killer, seems also to be Opera killer :). Adding another tabs like that doesn't vastly change the processor use. Turning off javascript did the same job as closing the tab - so there is a problem. Isn't Opera allowing the website for too many updates or something? What's more interesting - this site does not have any active content! At least, nothing visible... Any ideas what is wrong? Any chance to have this fixed in future opera versions? I found out, that it is probably the same issue with opera under OSX - I gave up Opera on MacbookAir since it always consumed so much processor time that the cooler were going crazy all the time... The mentioned website as the only tab in Opera 12.02 on MacBook Air with corei5 I5-2557M (1.7GHz) consumes 8% of processor power. Same happends with other pages on allegro.pl server (except 404 site). The issue doesn't hit: - Chrome (most recent) under OSx - IceApe (old one, 1.1.18) under linux Greetings, -- Jacek Osiecki [email protected] GG:3828944 I don't want something I need.
