Since upgrading to Ubuntu 13.04 I am now experiencing severe problems
with Opera (using 12.15).

If I open several Google Plus links in separate tabs- usually different
G+ communities- my system just starts disk swapping like crazy and
everything slows right down until I can get to a console and shut
something down to free up some memory.

Using top I discover that Opera is hogging all the available RAM,
jumping from 13% in a normal state to over 35% even 80% at one stage today.

I know that G+ is pretty heavy on graphics and other pretty features,
but I can load the same tabs in Chrome with no noticeable drag on my system.

At the moment it is only very long habits (going back to about Opera 4)
that is keeping me with Opera, plus the fact that I really like the RSS
reader in Opera.

Is there a solution to this problem?
