I wish I could have the same result. Opera won't start here at all.

GDB is of course useless cause there are no debugging symbols.
But here is what GDB tells me: http://pastebin.com/xb4bJrEd (expires in 
a month).

Running on Debian sid under KDE. Please let me know what additional info 
is needed. Or maybe you have any ideas to try here?
