Does the Paysystems module work??

I am running 2.2 and have installed version 1.2 of the Paysystems module.  Everything works fine up to Paysystems secure payment page.  I can't go any further as I haven't activated the account.  If I enter the address that is listed in the contributions readme file I am brought back to the login page, the order isn't completed and the item is still left in the cart when I log back in.

I have seen posting from people with the same problem, but have not seen a solution.  I haven't activated my account with them yet for this reason.  If I activate the account will it return the customer to the right area of my shopping cart and mark the transaction as completed?  Is there a modification that needs to be done before this will work?

If the problem has to do with the session ID not being resolved to the return link, is there a way to turn off sessions in my cart? or would that be a bad idea?

I just don't want to pay the activation fee and go through the signup process if it won't work with my cart.  Any insight?
