osC is a great piece of kit straight out of the box but I agree entirely with Adi up there

Being a bit of an old-timer re programming and web dev myself I shudder at the some of the coding in place. To my mind, there's far too much application logic within the presentation templates that really ought to be bundled away into function packages or API's. 

The catalog's default.php is a prime case in point - if all of the default / category listing / manufacturer listing selection logic was moved out into a seperate functions template, default.php would only need to a couple of calls and have the relevant content returned.

All in my humble opinion of course  :wink:
