just products???

I am new to osCommerce, I started researching different shopping carts for a client, and I came across this one.  I am planning to use this for my store that is in planning, but of more immediate concern is that the site I am currently trying to integrate this cart into only needs the product listings, view cart, check out type features, not the what's new, and other side-bar type stuff.  I looked through the contributions and searched the forums before posting this, does anyone have a stripped down, basic version of Milestone?  A Template maybe?
