Hi,
I just tried to work on a latest checkout with WinCVS. My goal is to get a real-time compare from my changes to the latest CVS updates. I know that I cannot commit my changes but I want to keep my files updated and want to use WinCVS to check for conflicts.

Now I did a cvs checkout of the latest version and changed a file on my local machine. I normally expect that I can run "cvs update" and then I will be able to see the changes. But instead I only get my changes file on one side and an empty file on the other side of the compare tool. When I used CVS for my own local projects, it always worked fine.

Can you give me a hint on this please?
