CVS logon and checkout at sourceforge

It used to be you could logon with a return key and then checkout your files. All of a sudden - just ten minutes ago - source.forge is refusing my connection and not letting me checkout updates. Is this a temporary thing or do we need a password now?

Also since catalog is nested inside catalog and admin is nested inside admin cvs only works (at least for me) if you leave it that way. Is there an easier way?
