fancy template engine

As You said "fancy template engine". I am a webdesigner. The look of the site is very important. First thing that client see is the the look of the site. And for me and many others customizing the look of osc is very hard , and to be honest it's impossible for me now. The "Out of the box" look is good maybe for a demo on osc site. So here's a question: Do You create OSCommerce and all things like contribiutions etc. etc. for your own pleasure  and other "PROGRAMMERS" or do You (OSC team) want someone to realy use it??  becouse as for now I can use it just for fun.
