It seems to me if you dont, then if there's any problem logging in then the size is non-zero and the cart will redirect somewhere as if the login succeeded when what one actually wants is the login page again with an error message set. Or am I way off? I may have screwed up my cart by following the advice of those who modified their login sequences to get more customer signups and they forgot something. I dunno.
