Tid bit on Florida sales tax law for mail order taxes. I've been doing research for an upcoming e-commerce venture. Florida Statute 212.0596 (Taxation of mail order sales) states that you are exempt from local sales tax except for sales made to customers in your county. So at least for Florida, this isn't so hard. Just need to isolate zip codes in your county for application of your county tax. I can't comment on other state's taxes, but in Florida it would be difficult to collect taxes for the other counties because of the way the state collects. See the following site: http://taxlaw.state.fl.us/sut_out_statutes.asp?r=212.0596&file=sut_s02.ask for more info.
