I have EAN adding in my TODO for product_info... but i'm sure it would help you if you would specify how you want to add by barcode - using some webinterface to auto-fetch descriptions maybe ? the scanners known to me are simple keyboard-hook-ins (or second HID device for USB versions)... on scanning they send keystrokes, so all you need is mark "product number field" and hit the EAN with your scanner (assuming that you want to use EAN as product number - for my shop I planned to use independent barcodes... thus an extra EAN field
